Heavy Metal Detox Smoothie

This smoothie has all of the recommended ingredients listed by Anthony Williams to gently pull heavy metals from the body. I drink this smoothie or a variation of it almost every morning. With the supplements, it’s got everything you need to start the day in a good way while healing over the long term.

A quick word about heavy metals. Most of us feel a little shocked when we hear that there might be heavy metals in our bodies. Here me out here: you can inherit metals! So even if you have somehow evaded heavy metals in your life and never come into contact with pesticides, eaten canned food, inhaled fresh paint fumes, taken medicine, gotten silver fillings (or had them removed), taken a fish oil supplement, or drank tap water, you can still have metals in your body.

How? Through the placenta and energetically through sperm. Anthony Williams says that so many of our “genetic” health issues aren’t actually “genetic” but rather heavy metals that have been passed down through the generations. So if someone way back in your family line was exposed to high levels of lead, mercury, copper, aluminum and the like, chances are you have traces of these bad boys in your body that are causing uncomfortable symptoms for you. These metals are literally poison to us.

In all honesty, I thought this was all “a bit much” when I first read about it. But, when I was eighteen, I got about eight new silver fillings in one go so I knew there was a chance that I had been exposed to mercury. I decided to try doing the Heavy Metal Detox Smoothie and lo! Within a few months I noticed that the slight tremor/shake in my hands disappeared! I also noticed that my immune system immediately improved and that I haven’t really had a cold at all, in three years, ever since I started implementing Anthony William’s advice for healing chronic illness. The Heavy Metal Detox Smoothie, with Celery Juice, and Lemon water is a fine way to improve your health for the long term.

Word of caution: If you have a lot of heavy metals in your body that you are unaware of, there’s a chance you will get a HUGE detox response from this smoothie. My friend and my husband, both needed to start with only a pinch of the barley grass juice powder and work their way up from there.

Heavy Metal Detox Smoothie

This is my variation of Anthony Williams' Heavy Metal Detox Smoothie. With all the recommended ingredients to gently pull heavy metals from the body (Wild Blueberries, Spirulina, Barley Grass Juice Powder, Atlantic Dulse, and Cilantro), I also add in some extra ingredients for flavour and health. This, after Celery Juice, is a powerful start to every day!

Equipment

  • A blender (optional)

Ingredients

  • 2 cups wild blueberries
  • 1 cup raspberries or cherries
  • 1 2 inch slice of aloe vera (optional)
  • 1 tsp Barley Grass Juice Powder
  • 1 tsp Spirulina
  • 1 small handfull of Atlantic Dulse
  • 1 cup cilantro (I omit this if I intend to eat cilantro for lunch or dinner)
  • 2-3 bananas

Directions

  • Blend it all up and drink! Yum! I enjoy this recipe so, so, so much.

Tips

If you buy your berries frozen, I defrost the berries on the counter overnight. (Easier to digest in a colder climate.) In a pinch, I heat them up a little, until they are cool but not frozen.
If you don’t have a blender, you can eat these ingredients in a bowl for breakfast. Just slice the bananas and cilantro, sprinkle all the supplements on top, and if you want, add an apple to the mix as well.
